Astaghfirullah, as I watched the news today about the earthquake and tsunami in northeast of Japan, a sinking feeling came over me…the live coverage showing the NHK office floor swaying, people with pale panic faces, files falling from the shelves …all these was EXACTLY what I experienced on the 22nd of February 2011 in my office…..The latest news is that other countries in the region including New Zealand has been issued a warning to be vigilant….
Study wise, I can’t access my department at the university (Dept of Geography) until further notice…I can only dream of all the printed materials I had organized to write the literature… the books and reference material…my file containing my draft chapters, the convenience of an office and now have to adjust myself with whatever resources available on line, at home while at the same time being vigilant for the next aftershocks and tsunami warning….Astaghfirullah...
