Its good to have my roomate(officemate) Marcela back from Chile from her fieldwork. She had been back to her country for almost 6 months. Now we can start again our small group (about 5 of us: Mizna, Marcela, me, Bolor, Shuha and Rijal who completed his phd last February) of Human and Physical Geographers informal meetings. Here, we talk about our research progress and just have a nice time drinking coffee and cakes or whatever the members bring. It is a small group of us `international 'students but I really like our group. The map on the right shows the phd students who are mostly from outside NZ and research varies from Climatology, Atmospheric, Remote Sensing to Indiginenous community, Environmental and Resource Mgt or Coastal Management and Geo Health related research.

Inah-> Wenger's theory says we can connect more easily with people when we have the same epistemological knowledge i.e we share the same sort of know how about things...whatever, the cakes and cofee seem tastier when eating it with a few friends..now I'm hungry! - kak win
